Forex News Preview: BOJ Interest Rate Announcement

Japan is scheduled to announce their interest rate decision late Tuesday EDT.  Although the expectations are for no change in the base rate once again, comments from the new BOJ Governor Shirakawa will be anticipated by the market.  Traders will focus on his assessment of the Japanese economy as they struggle with lower exports to the United States, inflation and slack domestic spending.  His comments are scheduled for early in the NY morning but after the interest rate decision is announced.
