Initial Claims came in at 366,000 versus 380,000 expected.
Continuing Claims came in at 3,122,000 versus 3,180,000 expected.  Last week was a 4 1/2 year high.

The data is apparently being influenced by the automakers as they upgrade factories.  This often leads to temporary layoffs for the industry.
