With the prolonged US economy hardships entering into its ninth straight month, there have been talks that help may come from over-seas.  Lead by the BOE Governor Mervyn King along with the ECB's Jean-Claude Trichet, they are "on the verge of new steps to spur lending and increase liquidity."  This move would be made with motives not only to assist the US, but the global economy as well.
