At 8:30 the Canada wholesale Sales data for the month of January will be released. Generally, if wholesale sales are strong, the expectations can be made that Retail Sales will also reflect growth. Last month the level of sales declined by a surprising 2.9%. This was nearly 4 times the economists expectations as auto manufacturers sold fewer cars than any month since October 2006. The headline figure was the lowest since November 2006. The expectations for this month are for the sales to rebound to plus 1.0% month on month.
