EUROZONE CPI Flash Estimate Released
The EU CPI Flash Estimate came out at 0.6% from the previous 1.2%. A drop to 0.7% was forecast.
The Italian Prelim CPI came out at 0.1% from the previous 0.2%. No change from the previous 0.2% was forecast.

Italian Retail Sales beat expectations at 0.3% from the previously revised 0.3%. A drop to -0.4% was forecast.
German Unemployment Change Released
German Unemployment Change came out at 69K up from the previously revised 50K. A rise to 53K was forecast.
The EUR softened up and came off session highs behind this weaker than expected employment data.

The CHF UBS Consumption Indicator came out at 0.89, down from the previously revised 0.92. There was no forecast available for this release.
Japan’s Housing Starts Released
Japan’s Housing Starts came out lower than expected at -24.9% from the previous -18.7%. A rise to -17.6% was forecast.
