Michigan Consumer Confidence 74.5 as expected

The number is staying near the multi year low (Oct 2005 hit a level of 74.2). Clearly, the consumer is worried about the future state of the economy. In the past worry, did not necessarily lead to decreased spending. However, with the negative housing situation, it may be different this time.
