China’s March GDP & Industrial Production

China’s economic indicators for March (& Q1) came out mixed with a better GDP providing a very light bid to risk pairs. The details of the release are as follows:

  • Real GDP (YoY)  – Survey:11.7%   Actual:11.9%   Prior:10.7%
  • Producer Price Index (YoY) – Survey:6.4%   Actual:5.9%   Prior:5.4%
  • Purchasing Price Index (YoY) – Survey:11.5%   Actual:11.5%   Prior:10.3%
  • Consumer Price Index (YoY) – Survey:2.6%   Actual:2.4%   Prior:2.7%
  • Retail Sales (YoY) – Survey:18%   Actual:18%   Prior:22.1%
  • Retail Sales  YTD (YoY) – Survey:18.1%   Actual:17.9%   Prior:17.9%
  • Industrial Production (YoY) – Survey:18.2%   Actual:18.1%   Prior:12.8%
  • Industrial Production YTD (YoY) – Survey:20.4%   Actual:19.6%   Prior:20.7%
