Speaking at a conference on crisis management framework, ECB President Jean-Claude Trichet made the following statements:
- There is a need to strengthen longer-term confidence.
- Need more transparency in CDS markets.
- Must strengthen the financial system to reduce contragion risk.
- Need central counterparty facilities for CDS.
