In an interview, Japan’s National Strategy Minister Sengoku made the following statements:

  • There is “extremely little” room for further Japanese stimulus.
  • Fiscal condition leaves little room for stimulus.
  • More BOJ easing may have a small impact on deflation.
  • Monetary easing has a “psychological” effect.
