Aussie Westpac Consumer Confidence

Written December 8, 2009 at 6:33 PM EST by Alex Chernomordin

The Australian Westpac Consumer Confidence fell again in December at -3.8%, after falling -2.5% in November. The index for this reading was also lower month over month at 113.8 vs. 118.3 the prior month. The AUD trading above the 90 cent handle moved lower toward the figure, however the move seems to have more to do with PIMCO’s pro-USD comments rather than the confidence reading. See next post for PIMCO comments.
